Full time in Los Angeles. First half goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil saw Madrid on their way to a hard-fought win over Everton in the Dodgers Stadium in the United States. Nikica Jelavic clawed a goal back for the Premier League side, but it was in vain as Los Blancos saw out out the 2-1 in. I'm Martin Macdonald, thank you for joining us on!!!
90′ +1
Madrid probing in the latter stages though, they are definitely looking to add to their tally. Everton doing well to put up a blue defensive barrier though, this looks destined to end 2-1.
The match is just winding down in the Dodgers Stadium now. It doesn't look as if the Everton comeback is on!
DODGY GOALKEEPING FROM HOWARD! The Everton 'keeper somehow allows the ball to bounce off his instep as he attempts to clear the ball! Luckily for him he gets it away at the second try! Almost a horror homecoming for the American!
Substitution Mesut Özil Denis Cheryshev
Poor from Di Maria!!! Kaka shows a turn of pace to get beyond Barkley and Osman and lays the ball out to the right for the Argentine, but his pass back to his South American compatriot goes straight to Jagielka, who clears. Kaka ain't happy!
It's not exactly been the most rambunctious crowd inside the Dodgers stadium tonight, but these American fans have seen pretty enthralling club friendly in the Guinness Cup!
Just under 10 minutes remaining is Los Angeles. Can Everton grab an unlikely equaliser or will Real Madrid hold out for the 2-1 win! The match is on a knife-edge!
Superb play from Kaka!! The Brazilian cleverly holds off Jagielka before bursting down the left-hand side, but his excellent cross into the box is squandered by Jese, who blasts over.
JAGIELKAAAAA!!!! WHAT A MISS!! An Everton free kick comes in from the left and the Englishman bullets a header at goal from six yards out, but his attempts somehow clears the crossbar! It should be 2-2!
Wasteful. With no Baines available, Jelavic steps up to the plate. However, the Croatian's free kick fails to get down after clearing the Madrid wall. Goal kick to Los Blancos.
Free kick to Everton in a great position. Mirallas looks to flick the ball beyond Carvajal but the former Leverkusen loanee just stopped the path to goal with a cheeky handball. Good set-piece opportunities for the Toffees.
DI MARIAAAAA! BAD MISS! Madrid counterattack at pace and the ball comes to the Argentine on the edge of the box, but his right-footed shot towards the top corner goes wayward! That was a chance, but Everton survive!
Substitution Kaká Karim Benzema
20 minutes remaining now. Everton has arguably had the better of the first half, and with the raft of changes from Madrid, they should feel as if they have a chance of equalising here!
Substitution Leighton Baines Darron Gibson
Substitution Marouane Fellaini Ross Barkley
A double change from Roberto Martinez. Ross Barkley and Darron Gibson enter the fray in place of Fellaini and Baines.
HOWARD TO THE RESCUE AGAIN! ALMOST A GREAT GOAL!! Jese does brilliantly to gallop past two challenges inside the box. but his eventual shot towards the bottom corner is stopped by the right foot of the former Manchester United goalkeeper!
Great save from Howard!! Madrid counterattack at high pace through the middle and the ball eventually comes to the marauding Carvajal. who tries his luck from a tight angle. but the American was positioned well to turn the ball away from goal!
Excellent first 15 minutes of the second half from Everton. Jelavic has given the Premier League side movement and a physical presence inside the box that was just not present in the first half.
Substitution Cristiano Ronaldo Jesé Rodríguez
Goal Nikica Jelavic
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAL FOR EVERTON!!! GAME ON!!! Naismith nods down a cross at the back post and Jelavic somehow squeezes a shot in off the post! That may have came off the back of Diego Lopez!! 2-1!
DI MARIAAAAA!! WHAT A SAVE! The Argentine picks up the ball on the edge of the box and whips a rasper of a strike to the top corner, but the Everton 'keeper kept on his toes to beat the attempt away!!
JELAVIC!!! GREAT CLEARANCE FROM CASEMIRO!!! The substitute latches on to a Baines cross and glances a header towards the bottom corner, but the Madrid man was on hand to slide the ball over the bar in the nick of time! Unlucky!
Jelavic in amongst the action again. This time the Croatian looks to latch on to a pass over the top from Fellaini, but he fails to fully get the ball under control, allowing Sergio Ramos to play the ball out wide to Marcelo.
Almost brilliant from Jelavic!! The substitute cleverly latches on to a cross inside from Mirallas, but his flick towards goal is just claimed by Diego Lopez. If that had more power behind it then it was a certain goal!
Di Maria sends in a couple of identical corner kicks but Everton remain solid to clear the ball out on both occasions.
A raft of changes for you, with Madrid switching the most! Angel Di Maria, Casemiro, Dani Carvajal, Nacho Rodriguez, Diego Lopez and Fabio Coentrao have came on for Los Blancos. Nikica Jelavic has came on for Arouna Kone for Everton.
We are back under way in Los Angeles!
Half time in Los Angeles. Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil give Real Madrid a two-goal lead over Everton at the break in this club friendly in the Dodgers Stadium. Join us in 15 minutes for the second period!
Substitution Marcelo Fabio Coentrao
Substitution Iker Casillas Diego López Rodríguez
Substitution Isco Ángel Di María
Substitution Luka Modric Alex Fernández
Substitution Arouna Kone Nikica Jelavic
There wont be a lot of added time here in the Dodgers Stadium. Perhaps Everton can nick a goal before half time to make it interesting?
A slightly low-key end to the half here. Perhaps a lot of the players are expecting to leave the pitch at half time, as the coaches will no doubt explore the rest of their squad for changes at the break.
Naismith just has a pop at Mirallas for the quality of a pass through the middle! It looked like the pass was decent, but it was made far, far too late!
Ohhhh nearly for Mirallas!!! The Belgian finds some space in the inside-right channel but his cross into the box just evades Kone and lands at the feet of Sergio Ramos! Everton getting closer!
Just under 10 minutes remaining in the half now. Everton shouldn't be too down heartened by the scoreline, they definitely have the quality there to bag a couple of goals. Madrid still have a couple of gears to go up, though.
The scoreline might be a little harsh on the Evertonians. The match has been relatively even so far but it's been two suckerpunches from Madrid that has given them the two-goal lead.
Goal Mesut Özil
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! 2-0!!! Modric clips a ball over the top for Ronaldo who gallops forward before squaring to Ozil, who easily passes the ball into the empty goal! Easy again for Real! They double their lead!
GOOOOOOOAAAAAL FOR EVERTON!!! WAIT! NO!! FOUL!!! Distin bullets a header home from a Mirallas corner but the referee stops play for an infringement on Pepe! That looked very harsh!
Very poor from Kone. Fellaini sends the Ivorian down the right-hand side but his eventual cross into the unmarked Naismith is weak and Marcelo cleans up before setting up a counterattack.
FELLAINI!!!! EVERTON COME INCHES AWAY FROM EQUALISING!! Baines whips a corner kick to the back post and the big Belgian out-jumps everyone at the back post, but his header bounces off the inside of the post!
Disappointing set-piece again from Everton. The usually dependable Baines floats in a free kick that is easily dealt with by Sergio Ramos, who heads the ball away from danger.
HOW IS THAT NOT A PENALTY?!?! Kevin Mirallas shows impressive trickery to dance his way into the box, but is cynically tripped up by Khedira! The referee gives the foul, but deems it to be made just outside the box! That looked is if it was inside the area!
Naismith, who has made a pretty bright start to the match, leaves Arbeloa for dead down the left wing and cuts inside before laying the ball off for Osman. Good play from the Scot there.
Baines looking a little frustrated there! The 28-year-old gets into a superb position down the left-hand side but is forced backwards due to a lack of movement from the Everton attackers!
Goal Cristiano Ronaldo
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL FOR REAL MADRID!!! LOS BLANCOS TAKE THE LEAD!! Ronaldo breaks the Everton offside trap and bursts forward before rounding Howard and coolly finishing! 1-0! Easy!
Ronaldo guilty of overdoing it here! The former Man Utd man gets beyond Distin and Jagielka down the inside-left channel but attempts one trick too many and Everton manage to clear.
Almost a fantastic pass from Ozil!! The former Werder Bremen man picks up the ball on the left wing and looks to thread a pass through the middle for Ronaldo, but the Portuguese was just called as offside. A tight one, that!
Pretty decent start to this friendly clash in Los Angeles. Madrid have had the majority of the possession out there but Mirallas, Naismith, and Kone are looking bright for the Merseyside club.
Superb play from Isco and Ozil. The Madrid new-boy flicks the ball out to the right-hand side for the German, who returns the favour with a backheel of his own. Baines comes in with a well-timed tackle to ruin the party though.
MIRALLAS!!! UNLUCKY!! The first shot on goal comes through the Belgian, who cuts inside away from Marcelo and lashes a left-footed strike towards the bottom corner. It was just dragged wide, though. Madrid goal kick.
Disappointing. The set-piece comes in but Casillas easily drifts from his line to punch the ball away to safety.
That must be a foul!! Seamus Coleman goes on a signature run down the right-hand side and gets to the byline, but he's stopped in his tracks by a cynical Marcelo challenge. Free kick to Everton in a useful position.
Sergio Ramos, in his bleach-blonde look, bursts out of defence and looks for Ronaldo down the left-hand side. It honestly looks like Los Blancos have signed Abel Xavier at the back!
And can I just say, it's quite a sight to see a baseball stadium converted into a football stadium!
We are under way in Los Angeles!
A slight delay in kick-off here, but it's an absolutely glorious night in Los Angeles! Quite an arena for a soccer, sorry, football match!
