That's all from us, I've been Goal USA editor Keith Hickey (@HickeyGOAL) and I think we all need a minute or two to let that sink in. The USA will face off against Panama in Chicago on Sunday, in the final of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
A huge upset, and one that may have cost Chepo de la Torre his job. Mexico's first Gold Cup semifinal loss since 1991.
And that's it! Mexico is out! Panama is in the final! What an upset!
HUGE STOP. Aldrete gets the last second slide in to dispossess Jairo Jimenez on a breakaway counterattack.
Four minutes of extra time, and it's desperate all-out attack from Mexico.
Substitution G. Gómez H. Cummings
Orozco has a header, but it goes wide. This is starting to look like the end for Chepo.
Mexico is camped out in Panama's half now, but the Panamanians are matching them inch for inch, packing the box. Even big Blas Perez is sitting deep behind the ball.
Oh, what a waste! Cecilio Waterman had a great chance to shoot or pass, but seemed to have forgotten how to use his feet. That could have been the end for Mexico right there.
What a save! Pinedo is left to dry when Chen whiffs a clearance and the ball falls to Isaac Brizuela, but the lightest punches sends the ball just over the bar.
Raul Jimenez was pulled down to the right of the Panama penalty area, but all Montes can do is a weak free kick straight at Pinedo.
Substitution Gabriel Torres C. Waterman
Substitution Rafael Márquez Lugo I. Brizuela
Marco Fabian winds up from the edge of the box, but a deflection off Torres puts it right into Pinedo.
Ohhh, nearly for Mexico! A little confusion at the top of the box, and Pinedo is called in to push a low shot away.
Rafa Marquez Lugo with a dangerous cross from deep, but Panama is able to clear for a corner.
Substitution A. Castro J. Orozco
Substitution Quintero J. Jiménez
This is big. Panama is leading with all the momentum right now. The general consensus in the media seems to be that Jose Manuel de la Torre will lose his job as Mexico coach if his team fails to win this tournament, and to not even make the final would be seen as a huge embarrassment.
Assist Gabriel Torres
Goal R. Torres
GOAL PANAMA! Roman Torres gets his head on the corner kick and hammers it home. Made an absolute fool of Mexico captain Joel Huiqui there,
Oh, another close call as Romsn Torres puts an attempted overhead kick over the bar!
That Blas Perez is at it again. His shot it deflected wide, winning a corner.
Yellow Card A. Castro
Alejandro Castro is extremely lucky not to see red. Took out Gabriel Torres, and then gave a little kick as he Panama forward was on the ground.
A long throw from Panama bounces dangerously inside the box, but no red jerseys are there to pounce on it.
Substitution C. Peña Jorge Enríquez
It's all even at half. A bright start from Panama, but El Tri came right back into it. Chepo de la Torre has 15 minutes to motivate these players, or it could be his job on the line.
Yellow Card Quintero
Blas Perez puts a header off the Bar! ...but he's called offside. Mexico has to watch him more carefully in the second half.
Since the goal, Mexico has been much improved. El Tri is passing with a lot more authority and a lot less timidity in Panama's half now.
Yellow Card Juan Carlos Valenzuela
Marco Fabian is single-handedly dragging El Tri back into this game. It's impressive to watch. He just put a half chance (which his dribbling helped create) just wide of the goal.
Assist M. Fabián
Goal L. Montes
GOAL MEXICO! Spoke too soon! Marco Fabian dekes out Parris and crosses to a criminally unmarked Luis Montes at the back post, who has an easy header to equalize.
Panama smells blood. Sanchez takes a strike from distance, but it's high and wide. Nevertheless, it's obvious which team is playing with the momentum.
Nearly a second! A Panamanian cross on the ground into the six yard area is only just scrambled away.
Goal B. Pérez
GOAL PANAMA! Blas Perez is the man of the moment, but credit must go to the creator Quintero, who took the ball from Castro and faked out Huiqui before picking out Perez for a high blast into the near side.
Warning shot for Panama, as Marco Fabian gets behind the defense down the right wing, but the ball is just too far ahead of him.
A great inside cut move by Alberto Quintero lets the Panama winger whip in a cross, but it's headed out by Huiqui.
It's Panama with the first shot, as a decent effort from Blas Perez outside the area is saved by Orozco.
For Panama, it's: Penedo; Parris, R. Torres, Chen, Rodriguez; Sanchez, Godoy, Gomez, Quintero; Perez, G. Torres.
A familiar lineup from Mexico, with Chepo de la Torre sending out: Orozco; Layun, Valenzuela, Huiqui, Aldrete; Montes, Castro, Pena, Fabian; Marquez Lugo, Jimenez.
