Rimando deals with a free kick and the final whistle goes. 3-1, and the USA is off to the final in Chicago.
Yellow Card Eddie Johnson
The final whistle should be blowing any second now.
Last minute of regulation. And the USA is on the doorstep of the final.
Klinsmann just got run for his reaction to a no call.
Not much time left, and there doesn't seem to be much of a way back into this for Honduras at this point. USA still holding a two-goal lead and doing a nice job of controlling the game.
Holden has not been bashful about shooting, just fired another long-range effort in, but off target to the right.
Chavez with a smart foul on Beasley, Bealsey with a vet play to cut across him.
Another odd stat from the press box. Three goals from the USA today is the most the team has ever scored in a Gold Cup semifinal. And Honduras just worked out a chance.. but Rimando eventually collected to kill off the danger.
Johnson just missed with his right foot, pulled it wide of the post.
This game has slowed over the last 10 minutes or so. Honduras maybe getting some more of the ball, but the USA hasn't looked troubled since taking back the two-goal lead.
Substitution Landon Donovan Chris Wondolowski
Sub being made, Donovan will make way and let Johnson and Wondo run up top. This also means a full match for Stuart Holden.
Wondolowski is up and about to come on.
Well that was fun. Rimando just came out for a ball, won it, but out of the box, and had to have some clever feet to escape.
Substitution R. Rojas R. Martínez
Bad touch from Shea but Besler is there to clear up any danger.
Substitution Kyle Beckerman M. Diskerud
Substitution J. Torres Brek Shea
Mix Diskerud is also on, replacing Beckerman.
Brek Shea coming into the game and gets a nice round of applause from the Dallas crowd. Jose Torres heads out.
Eddie Johnson has put in a very nice shift up front. Donovan of course has two goals and an assist, but Johnson has been running sprints for most of the game chasing down long balls, and has won more than his share of them.
A shot from Honduras goes just wide of the post.
Interesting stats from the stats team here at the stadium. Nine different players have scored the last nine Honduran goals in the Gold Cup.
That didn't take long at all. Two minutes, two goals, and a two-goal lead for the USA. And now maybe another chance for the home team, with Torres set to take a free kick.
Assist Alejandro Bedoya
Goal Landon Donovan
WOW!! Once again an immediate response. Goal.. USA, it's 3-1. Ball over the top to Bedoya, and Donovan taps it home.
Assist Marvin Chávez
Goal N. Medina
And from that foul Honduras has found a way back in it. GOAL!! It's 2-1, and once again the USA has let its opponent back into a match that the team had been in complete control of.
Beasley commits a foul. He got megged as well.
Johnson flicks a long ball from Rimando on and it creates a chance for Bedoya. Escobar kept it out, but very dangerous when it probably shouldn't have been.
Plenty of fouls early in this half. Honduras being more physical early on. Nothing outrageous though.
Substitution A. López Jerry Palacios
Substitution Diego Reyes Marvin Chávez
A collision as two players challenge for the ball. Bedoya went down, but he's back up and moving around.
Second half is underway.
Halftime stats tell the story. USA with 10 shots total, Honduras with two. Pretty one sided in the first 45.
There it is... The first half is over and the USA is 45 minutes away from a return to the Gold Cup final.
First half is drawing to an end. The USA with a commanding 2-0 lead, but this is about the time of the game when El Salvador slipped back into the quarterfinal.
Holden just overcooked a ball to Bedoya down the right. More moves over the top, and Honduras hasn't adjusted at all.
Parkhurst blows a cross through the box and over everybody, but the USA isn't struggling to open up this Honduran back line right now.
Bedoya tries to tee one up but gets it blocked out for a corner.
And on cue Honduras changes the sides for the center backs. Chavez will now be chasing Donovan... not sure how much better that it.
Osman Chavez has his hands full with Eddie Johnson, who is having balls hit over the top to him left and right.
A brilliant ball from Bedoya and Donovan can't turn home khs second of the night with the outside of his right foot.
There's a shot from Honduras, Rimando dealt with it, but it was dangerous from Reyes.
That's Donovan's fourth of this Gold Cup, his 17 in all Gold Cup, which is a record he already owned and is just extending.
Assist Alejandro Bedoya
Goal Landon Donovan
GOAL!! It's 2-0. Landon Donovan with the finish, and a great job by Bedoya to set it up. And there's a ball over the top coming off correctly, but it took some work from Bedoya.
Bedoya has fallen twice out on the right flank trying to change directions. There's a seem you can see running the field in that area.
The U.S. is trying to take advantage of the high line from Honduras and hitting balls over the top, but the ball on the ground and the quick passing moves have created the better chances.
Finally Honduras pushes forward and wins a corner.
Close again from Holden. Honduras better get a better grasp of this game quickly. There's too much space for the U.S. to work with.
Johnson and Donovan tried to pull off a couple of flicks to set Beasley free. Didn't come off, but the ideas and the flow from the quarterfinal are still there. There are going to be chances for sure.
Holden breaks forward into the box and is bowled over. Hard to tell from here how much actual contact there was but the move was another nice one from the USA.
Honduras is struggling to cope with the pressure from the U.S. right now. Working it out of the back isn't going well.
For Donovan, that's his seventh assist of this tournament. Safe to say he's back, and I doubt there's many questions left about him being on the World Cup squad.
That's EJ's second goal of the competition, and Donovan is once again involved.
Assist Landon Donovan
Goal Eddie Johnson
GOAL!!!! Eddie Johnson got in behind the defense... the USA is up 1-0 early on. Just the start the team was looking for, and another assist for Landon Donovan.
Holden stings the first real shot of the game, blazes it up over the top, but the USA is putting together some nice sequences of play.
The USA is playing a more of a diamond look in the midfield, with Holden taking the forward spot and Beckerman holding. Donovan is running fully as a forward tonight, playing beside Johnson instead of behind him. Pretty attacking setup for Klinsmann.
Donovan tries to find Johnson breaking in behind the Honduran line but the pass is cut out. USA trying to keep the ball, but the early pace of the game is nice and high.
Landon Donovan commits a foul to kill off an early move forward for the USA.
