L. Suárez 18', 84'
J. Henderson 40'
J. Flanagan 75'
R. Sterling 89'
That rounds up our live-text coverage of this one! Spurs fans, a huge apology for that 90 minutes! Liverpool fans, welcome to dreamland. Take care, everyone!
Luis Suarez was sublime, scoring twice and playing his part in all of Liverpool's three other goals. Jordan Henderson, Jon Flanagan and Raheem Sterling were the others who netted - and Tottenham were simply awful.
For the second time this weekend, I'm left speechless. First, there was Manchester City 6-3 Arsenal. And then there was this.
FULL-TIME: Tottenham 0-5 Liverpool
90' + 3'
Credit to Flanagan, as well, who almost just put in Liverpool's sixth!
90' + 2'
Suarez has been the undoubted star of the show today, although Henderson, Coutinho and Sterling have shone as well.
90' + 1'
That's assuming no more go in. Rodgers actually lifted five fingers earlier in the game suggesting that he thought Liverpool would score five.
A 6-0 loss at Manchester City or a 5-0 defeat at home to Liverpool; which is worse?
Assist Luis Suárez
Goal Raheem Sterling
STERLING SCORES LIVERPOOL'S FIFTH!!! It's Suarez again demonstrating his quality with a scintillating pass. Sterling is there to finish and he deserves it after this performance.
Nothing that happens from here means anything, really, does it? Liverpool have maintained possession nevertheless...
Is that the end of AVB at Tottenham?
Assist Luis Alberto
Goal Luis Suárez
SUAREZ MAKES IT 4-0!!! What quality from the Uruguayan, who is simply oozing class week after week. He chipped Lloris with such ease and now has two more goals than Tottenham for the season. He has scored 17 in 11. How many will he end with?
LLORIS! But for the Frenchman, the hosts could have gone 4-0 down now, with Lloris stealing the ball off Sterling just in time.
Holtby, meanwhile, is in danger of becoming the second Spurs player to be sent off today. On a booking already, the German midfielder has been flirting with trouble for the past few minutes.
Coutinho attempts a delicate through ball now, with Liverpool looking to extend their lead even further!
And another assist for Suarez. Is there a player in better form at the moment? The world over, I can't think of one.
What a day to forget for Spurs fans. AVB's position will surely be reviewed. As much as patience is the way forward, does he deserve to continue in the job?

Goal Jon Flanagan
GOAL! Flanagan makes it 3-0 to Liverpool!!! That is well and truly game over as an unlikely hero in Liverpool's full-back caps a wonderful team move. Suarez, Coutinho et al - they were all involved. But it was young Flanagan who put the ball into the net. Good on him. And game finished.
OVER! Lloris is beaten this time, though, but Coutinho's shot blazes over the bar. Suarez had played the Brazilian in and his curled effort was a few degrees wide of putting Liverpool 3-0 up.
GREAT GOALKEEPING! Henderson plays in Coutinho but Lloris, being the sweeper-keeper that he is, rushes out of his goal and makes a convincing clearance.
It comes to nothing but Tottenham appear to be sinking without trace. Paulinho's red card may have been the final nail in the coffin.
WIDE! Another mistake in the Tottenham defence - from Capoue - allows Suarez to run at goal once again. His shot is tipped wide by Lloris, however. From the ensuing corner, Liverpool win another corner...
Martin Kelly, Victor Moses and Luis Alberto are warming up for the away side, meanwhile.
Another foul as Coutinho is brought down now. Spurs can't get back into this if they keep giving away free kicks...
Yellow Card Lewis Holtby
Lloris is almost caught out in his own box now! The home side need to steady the ship now or this could get embarassing.
Another foul now! The hosts are looking so frustrated as Holtby picks up a booking himself. The Spurs side's reaction to trailing 2-0 is more petulant than positive.
What has happened to Spurs this season? Villas-Boas seems to have turned them into a side that collapses into itself against the big sides!
Red Card Paulinho
RED CARD! Paulinho's day just gets worse! The Brazilian threw a high foot towards Suarez and referee Moss had no choice but to send him off.
Holtby has been lively since his introduction but Coutinho has just robbed Paulinho of the ball and is subsequently hauled down by Walker. The right-back has already been booked and needs to be careful.
Townsend comes on for... Dembele!
PENALTY!? The Tottenham crowd certainly thought so after a Spurs man was brought down in the box but referee Moss thought otherwise. Spurs continued to press after the appeals, however, after Sterling gave the ball away, although it was eventually cleared. This is a good period of pressure for the home side.
Another set-piece as Holtby whips a free kick in and a Sandro knock-on is cleared for a corner.
A great reverse pass from Chadli ends with Totenham winning a corner, though. Flanagan manages to head it away.
Classic centre-back play from Dawson, who launches it upfield... straight to Sakho.
Andros Townsend is warming up for Spurs - but he has only scored once in the league so far this season.
Both sides have continued in the same manner as before the break - with plenty of speed. It is suiting Liverpool slightly more, just like in the first period.
It is cleared, however, and Henderson surges forward before being pulled down by Dembele!
Spurs advance once again, with Lennon and Chadli both running at the Liverpool back four at pace.
Another chance for Soldado! End-to-end football here as the Spaniard hits wide - but it was a tough shot to wrap his foot around.
CHANCE! Liverpool win a corner, with Coutinho swinging it into the box. It is cleared but only as far as Lucas, who passes it to Sterling. The young winger then sends a great cross in and Sakho heads against the post! Skrtel then follows up but hits it over the bar.
CHANCE! Soldado has an early effort for Tottenham. His shot is just off target but he has comfortably been his side's main goal threat so far. Chadli has looked good against defenders, though.
Off we go for the second half! Kyle Naughton has been replaced by Zeki Fryers - but Capoue still remains. So does Dawson. Both struggling.
Liverpool will be up to second if things stay the same...
So it is still all to play for for Andre Villas-Boas, though the inspiring performances of Suarez, Henderson, Raheem Sterling and Phillipe Coutinho do not bode well for the home side. Stay with us for more!
Tottenham had threatened occasionally, though, and this game is not beyond them - especially with the firepower at their disposal. Roberto Soldado thought he had pulled a goal back for Spurs, in fact, but a foul was given after he took the ball off Simon Mignolet and dispatched it into the back of the net.
It was Luis Suarez who, unsurprisingly, put Liverpool ahead, scoring his 16th Premier League goal of the season - one more than Tottenham have. The Uruguayan was involved again as Jordan Henderson doubled the Reds' lead. And that was that.
What a half for Liverpool - and what a sorry story it is for the hosts, by contrast. Boos ring out as the first half comes to an end, with the away side being utterly dominant during the first 45 minutes.
HALF-TIME: Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool
They have, by and large, been outplayed by the Reds, however. And Coutinho is continuing to pressurise the home defence here...
So there certainly is hope for Spurs...
Yellow Card Kyle Walker
DISALLOWED GOAL! Mignolet spills the ball and Soldado duly swoops in and nets it. But the Spaniard is then adjudged to have fouled the Liverpool goalkeeper! A controversial decision.
BOOKED! Walker commits another foul and is given a just yellow card for it.
This has been a VERY convincing display from Brendan Rodgers' men today. And without Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge, too.
Goal Jordan Henderson
GOALLL!! Henderson doubles Liverpool's lead!! The move started with Sterling playing a great ball in to Coutinho but the Brazilian's touch was even better. His skill released Henderson, though he could only draw a save from Lloris, with Suarez then doing the same. But it was third time lucky as Henderson clinically finished to Liverpool 2-0 ahead.
Chance for Tottenham, however! It's substitute Holtby who is presented with the ball in the box but he can't make the most of it.
Sterling threatens now! The 19-year-old runs at goal and shoots from outside the area. It is deflected, though, and Walker can safely head it to Lloris.
Free kick to Liverpool now. Suarez brought down by Capoue.
Shocker! The ball is given away by Allen - how many times have we seen that this season from the supposed pass master? Spurs win a half-chance as a result but Mignolet makes a save.
Etienne Capoue and Chadli combine and the ball is then played to Naughton. He knocks it straight out of play, however, with his team-mates expecting more from him.
Spurs are skating on thin ice at the moment...
CHANCE!! Speaking of Suarez, he has to do better there! It could have quite easily been 2-0 there but the Uruguayan could not quite finish the move.
Normal service resumes as the visitors press, though, but the ball ends up out for a goal kick as Suarez falls just short of keeping it in. He worked hard for that and is producing yet another superb display here.
HEADER! Tottenham have responded to Liverpool's pressure well, with Chadli winning a corner for the hosts. The set-piece is played into the box and a header is unleashed at goal, which goes just over.
Lewis Holtby comes on for Sandro. Is that tactical or has the Brazilian picked up a knock?
Changes already for Spurs, meanwhile...
CROSSBAR! Coutinho hits the bar - Liverpool are being relentless in their pursuit of a second here.
Yellow Card Michael Dawson
FOUL! That's cynical from Dawson, who hauls Henderson down.
Sakho now dwells on the ball and is robbed of possession. Skrtel covers for his centre-back partner, clearing the ball out of play after an attacking run from Paulinho.
OVER! Soldado gets a header away but sends it over the bar. He appeals for a foul thereafter but referee Jonathan Moss shows no hesitation in ignoring the protests.
Suarez now tries to feed Joe Allen but the Welshman can't quite get to the ball. A very, very fast-paced encounter here so far!
Pressure from Spurs now, though, as Lennon beats two defenders and Sakho is forced to make multiple clearances!
The Reds look very quick in attack at the moment and the hosts are finding it difficult to deal with them. Suarez is making the difference but the likes of Coutinho, Sterling and Henderson are certainly aiding him.
CHANCE! Suarez goes one-on-one with Lloris, almost doubling his tally and Liverpool's lead! He can't convert this one, though, and it goes out for a corner.
What can Tottenham bring to the table now? Nacer Chadli gets to the byline and plays it into Lennon, although the winger can't get onto the end of the ball.
Assist Jordan Henderson
Goal Luis Suárez
GOAL! Suarez puts it away! Liverpool's period of extended pressure pays dividends and it is the Uruguayan who, after creating an initial half-chance for Henderson, pounces on the ball after Henderson can't put it away. Suarez was at his best yet again - and he has now scored more goals than Tottenham this season.
Sterling now plays a good low cross into the area and Lloris pushes it away! Tottenham, finally, are able to break away.
And now a fourth after an attempted bicycle kick from Glen Johnson!
Third corner in a row! Lloris makes a save from a Sterling effort - no pun intended.
Another corner now as Walker heads this one in behind. Liverpool enjoying a very good spell now.
SUAREZ! The Uruguayan is at his sharpest as Tottenham are caught in possession but his shot is blocked for a corner. There were appeals for a foul in the box, as well!
Sterling is involved yet again as Kyle Naughton brings him down for a free kick. The 19-year-old is playing down the right-hand side today.
Just as I say that, though, the young winger sends his shot off target after being played in by Coutinho.
It's a poor free kick, though, and Tottenham eventually clear. Positive signs from Sterling, however, who is enjoying an extended run of action after his mediocre start to the season.
Free kick to the other side now, with Raheem Sterling using his speed to good effect on the flank. He was brought down a few yards outside the box and Coutinho will take the ensuing set-piece.
FOUL! Henderson plays Flanagan in down the left but the full-back runs into Walker, who deals with him easily. In his attempt to win the ball back, though, Flanagan gives a free kick away.
An even contest so far, nonetheless.
The home side win an attacking free kick now, with Walker swinging it into the box. It comes to nothing but there was certainly a lot of off-the-ball activity, with lots of pushing and shoving going on in the area.
Suarez puts Dawson under pressure now but the hosts keep the ball well, eventually working their way into the Liverpool half and Paulinho has a crack at goal! The Brazilian's shot goes over the bar but Spurs look keen to match Liverpool's energetic start.
Jordan Henderson and Coutinho combine now, though Mousa Dembele eventually wins the ball back for Spurs. It's been a well-contested opening few minutes in terms of midfield battles.
Tottenham get the chance to create an opening of their own, though, but Paulinho's pass is misplaced and goes beyond the reach of Aaron Lennon.
The visitors exchance a few neat passes now, with Sakho, Lucas and Skrtel knocking the ball around with ease. We're only a few minutes in but Liverpool look settled already.
CHANCE! Phillipe Coutinho is played in by Suarez. An opportunity so soon for the Reds, although the Brazilian scuffs his shot after thinking he had less time and space than he actually did.
Roberto Soldado puts Simon Mignolet under pressure already, with the Liverpool goalkeeper responding by kicking the ball straight into the crowd!
We're off at White Hart Lane! Liverpool get us underway.
Before we start, feast your eyes on this: Suarez is Liverpool's captain for the day. It would have been hard to imagine in the summer, wouldn't it?
Kick-off is just minutes away! Will Andre Villas-Boas get his third league win in a row or will Liverpool pick up another Suarez-inspired victory? Stay tuned to find out.
All that and more to come...
Meanwhile, today's tactical battle poses many intriguing questions. How will young Jon Flanagan cope at the back and how will Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho work together in central defence? For the hosts, will Michael Dawson be able to stop Luis Suarez - and will Roberto Soldado receive adequate service?
Three points currently separate these two sides in the Premier League table, with Liverpool sitting in fifth after 15 games and Tottenham in seventh. A win for the visitors would move them up to second, however, while Spurs would only move up to sixth with a win (unless they won by a margin of around nine).
Liverpool subs: Jones, Kelly, Agger, Toure, Moses, Aspas, Alberto.
Liverpool, meanwhile, line up like this: Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan; Lucas, Allen, Henderson; Sterling, Coutinho; Suarez.
Tottenham subs: Friedel, Fryers, Holtby, Lamela, Townsend, Sigurdsson, Defoe.
Let's start with the all-important team news. Hosts Spurs will look like this: Lloris; Walker, Capoue, Dawson, Naughton; Paulinho, Sandro, Lennon, Dembele, Chadli; Soldado.
Good afternoon and welcome to play-by-play commentary of Tottenham against Liverpool! I'm your host Tim Poole and I'll be guiding you through all the action, so sit back and enjoy what is no doubt going to be a fascinating contest at White Hart Lane.
