  • The winner of this match will play the winner of the Real Madrid-LA Galaxy clash, while the loser will play its corresponding loser in the next matches of the ICC. Both of those games will be played at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 3.
  • Both sides are facing a number of changes, with Juventus welcoming strikers Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to the club, while Everton has a new manager in Roberto Martinez, who has brought in a host of new players.
  • Among the additions are players Martinez coached at Wigan Athletic: Joel Robles, Antolin Alcaraz and Arouna Kone.
  • U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard is set for another Premier League season between the posts, but he is facing a challenge for playing time from new signing Robles.
  • Everton landed a coup in Barcelona attacker Gerard Deulofeu, who will be with the Toffees on loan for the season. He scored two goals in the recent 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, both of which came against the United States.
  • Juventus is looking for its third consecutive Serie A title this upcoming season.
