Player Ratings: Millwall 0-0 Blackburn

Rob Hulse wasted a gilt-edged chance as both sides failed to find a decisive goal in a fiercely contested FA Cup quarterfinal that will go to a replay.

The Lions goalkeeper was a spectator for the entirety of the first half and wasn't tested too often after the break either.

    Alan Dunne

Had a nervy start but grew into the game. Smashed a shot wide from range in the first half. Did superbly to keep King quiet for the majority of the second half.

    Danny Shittu

The commanding presence in the Millwall defence, he had little to deal with in the first half. Almost opened the scoring with an audacious drive in the second half, during which he organised the hosts' defence well.

Jack Smith Top of the Match

Made a foray forward late in the first half and delivered a superb cross which Keogh headed on to the post. The best player on the park after the break, his passing was exemplary.

  • Mark Beevers

    Mark Beevers

Cruised through the first half, where his only work came from a handful of Blackburn free kicks. Had more to deal with after the break as Rovers posed a threat but got his foot in when it mattered.

  • Shane Lowry

    Shane Lowry

Managed to get forward down the left flank on plenty of occasions but his end product left much to be desired. Was occupied by Bentley in the second period and fared well against the Rovers midfielder.

  • Chris Taylor

    Chris Taylor

His delivery from set-pieces was inconsistent, which was a shame because he got himself into some great positions. His influence grew as the game went on.

    Dany N'Guessan

Had a few chances to cross and shoot after cutting in from the left flank but was wasteful more often than not.

    Liam Trotter

Had a speculative shot in the first half which was hit well wide. Got in behind the Rovers defence once in the first half but could only direct his cross to the Blackburn goalkeeper.

    Andy Keogh

Didn't have much joy against the pace of Olsson for the most part, but peeled off his man late in the first half well only to see his header unluckily come off the inside of the post.

Rob Hulse Flop of the Match

The striker was lucky not to be punished for an elbow on Dann in the first half. Played the target man role for the Lions but wasn't able to bring his team-mates into the game often enough. Missed an absolute sitter in the second half; a desperately poor finish from the on-loan QPR man.

    Jake Kean

Was tested in the first half and rose to the occasion. Made a number of successful punches and catches when he was called upon from Millwall set-pieces. Also made a string of saves to keep the hosts out late on.

  • Adam Henley

    Adam Henley

Had a fairly solid start to the game but was hauled off with a hamstring problem after 36 minutes.

    Grant Hanley

Put his body on the line for Appleton's side, making a number of blocks and headers throughout the game. Alongside Dann, he held the line for the visitors admirably during a second-half onslaught.

  • Scott Dann

    Scott Dann

Was busted open after being on the wrong end of an elbow from Hulse. Continued despite a bad cut and marshalled the Rovers defence well in the first half. Defended stoically against waves of Millwall pressure in the second half.

  • David Bentley

    David Bentley

Showed an eye for a pass on occasions but rarely got into the opposition half to make them count. He also gave away a number of silly free kicks in dangerous positions. Expected more from the former England international.

  • Jason Lowe

    Jason Lowe

Commited a string of fouls to break up any rhythm Millwall attempted to create in the first half. He was effective, even if sometimes unfair.

  • Morten-Gamst Pedersen

    Morten-Gamst Pedersen

His quality from set-pieces was well below his usual high standards in the first half but managed to find his regular service after the break. He barely had a kick in the opposition's half in the first 45 and remained on the fringes in the second half.

  • Marcus Olsson

    Marcus Olsson

Used his pace against Keogh well in the first period, smartly showing the Millwall striker down the outside. Was non-existent as an attacking threat in the first period, though, and didn't find his form going forward after break either.

  • Joshua King

    1.50

    Joshua King

Had a completely anonymous first half where he failed to influence the game at all. The introduction of Dunn on the right-hand side reinvigorated the winger but his delivery was still poor. Hit the post with a header during Rovers' period of pressure late on.

  • Jordan Rhodes

    Jordan Rhodes

Saw precious little of the ball in the first half despite making a number of good runs in behind the Millwall centre-halves. Had a glorious chance to open the scoring in the opening minutes of the second half but blazed his shot over from a tightish angle.

  • Leon Best

    Leon Best

Considering the striker played only 10 minutes all season before today's game, he did well to keep Beevers and Shittu occupied in the first half but never really threatened to score. Was a passenger after the break.

Replaced the injured Henley after a half-hour but then went off himself only a few minutes after the break.

    David Dunn

Came on in the unfamiliar position of right-back after both regular defenders went off injured. Did well to start attacks for Rovers from a deep position.

    Nuno Gomes

Came on as a late sub but never really got into the game.
