  DID YOU KNOW?
  • The Rapids are on an eight-game unbeaten run, with their last loss coming against the Portland Timbers on June 23.
  • This is the first meeting between the Western Conference contenders. In a scheduling quirk, they will face each other in the final two games of the regular season.
  • Currently, these teams are second and third in the West, with Vancouver having 36 points through 23 games, and Colorado having 36 points through 25 games. Both trail first-place Real Salt Lake by five points.
  • The Rapids could see the debut of new DP striker Gabriel Torres, whose paperwork has been received making him eligible to play. Fellow new forward Vicente Sanchez made his debut in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Chivas USA -- a match that saw the Rapids end with a 10-9 man advantage.
  • Rapids midfielder Hendry Thomas is eligible to return after serving a suspension. Tony Cascio, however, is suspended after picking up a red card against Chivas USA.
  • Vancouver striker Kenny Miller scored a goal for Scotland against England in Wednesday's international friendly.
  • With his goal against San Jose last week, Vancouver forward Camilo tied Chicago's Mike Magee for the league lead at 14.
  • Whitecaps forward and Jamaican international Darren Mattocks is in contention to play for the first time in a month after returning to full training following a knee injury. He has played a total of 31 minutes for the Whitecaps since May 18.
