Yordany Alvarez's goal just before halftime was the difference as the visitors remained in red-hot form.

Real Salt Lake won its fourth consecutive MLS game, defeating Toronto FC 1-0 at BMO Field in a match which saw both sides finish with 10 men.

After a back and forth opening 45 minutes, RSL grabbed a crucial goal just before halftime. Out of relatively nothing, Olmes Garcia laid the ball back to Yordany Alvarez and from the corner of the area, the Cuban unleashed a rocket which flew through traffic and into the corner of the net.

Both teams went down to 10 men for the final 10 minutes, after Tony Beltran fouled Luis Silva hard. After a scuffle, Beltran shoved Silva over, which caused Doniel Henry to sprint over and shove Beltran to the ground. Referee Chris Penso showed a red card to both Beltran and Henry.

TFC knocked on the door several times in a frantic final spell, but Nick Rimando produced a pair of quality saves to ensure the three away points.
