Goals on either side of the half ensured that Schellas Hyndman's men kept their impressive run of form going.
The home side got off the mark in the 29th minute off a corner kick. David Ferreira's delivery bounced in the box and off the back of Brad Rusin, who was being pushed backward by George John. The ball snuck over the line as Lee Young Pyo's clearance came an instant too late.
FCD doubled its lead just after the break. Kenny Cooper's shot from outside the box was deflected and Blas Perez was quickest to react. The Panamanian striker got behind the Vancouver defense to nod home.
From there, the home side held firm at the back, where it wasn't troubled much by a tame Vancouver attack. With the win, FCD moved to 6-1-1 and solidified its position as the league's top team in the season's early going.
