The Philadelphia Union defeated the New England Revolution 1-0 at PPL Park to claim their second victory in a row.
Jack McInerney scored the winner in the 75th minute. Sebastien Le Toux's corner was met by his younger colleague's head, and though New England keeper Bobby Shuttleworth saved that effort, McInerney was there to pounce on the rebound. The goal is his fourth game-winner against New England in six appearances.
New England nearly equalized right away, but Juan Carlos Toja shot wide with only Zac MacMath to beat.
The result handed the Revs their first loss of the season after a victory over Chicago last week, and gives the Union a 2-1-0 mark for the year. The Union are now 5-0-3 all time against New England.
