Goal looks at the form for each team in the knockouts for the most recent 10 games in all competitions ahead of the last 16 second legs...

  1. 16. Basel | 10 points | ⬇️ 4 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Basel 0-4 Manchester City

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 3000/1

    So used to having it all their own way in Switzerland, this season has been a rude awakening. They will relinquish their Super League crown to Young Boys and are about to tumble out of Europe with a heavy defeat.

    However, they should take encouragement from their qualification to the knockout phase given their original goal of the season was any sort of continental football after the winter break. And they will have learned plenty from playing against Guardiola.

  2. 15. Chelsea | 13 points | ➖

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 33/1

    The Antonio Conte era - not yet two seasons old - appears to be coming to an end. Defeats to Manchester United and to Manchester City in the Premier League in recent weeks were shocking in their manner with Conte even taking criticism from his own goalkeeper.

    Chelsea are big underdogs and short of confidence after their trip to the Etihad on Sunday. A remarkable turnaround and mounting problems for a coach who last season could do no wrong.

  3. 14. Roma | 14 points | ⬆️ 2 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 Roma

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 66/1

    Paulo Fonseca is winning plenty of credit - and being linked to bigger jobs than his current one - for the work he's done this season. Now Ukraine's runaway leaders, Shakhtar have stormed back from their long winter break in sensational form.

    Their intricate play was too much for Roma to handle in the first leg. If they can hold their nerve and play to their values in the Italian capital, they will go through.

  4. 13. Sevilla | 18 points | ⬇️ 3 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Sevilla 0-0 Manchester United

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 150/1

    Vincenzo Montella's side will be kicking themselves that they didn't find a breakthrough in the first leg even if they managed to avoid conceding an away goal.

    They will be well aware that most observers will be expecting United to have a much easier ride at Old Trafford and fighting against that perception with belief will be key to progress. Their form has been up and down. Maintaining confidence even if they concede will be vital.

  5. 12. Besiktas | 21 points | ⬇️ 6 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Bayern Munich 5-0 Besiktas

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 3000/1

    Into the Champions League knockout rounds for the first time ever, drawing Bayern Munich was exactly the kind of luck Besiktas could have done without.

    Down to 10 men, they capitulated in the second half against Bayern at the Allianz Arena and have no chance of progressing even if they make it difficult for the Germans on home soil.

  6. =5. Shakhtar Donetsk | 22 points | ⬆️ 7 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Shakhtar 2-1 Roma

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 80/1

    Paulo Fonseca is winning plenty of credit - and being linked to bigger jobs than his current one - for the work he's done this season. Now Ukraine's runaway leaders, Shakhtar have stormed back from their long winter break in sensational form.

    Their intricate play was too much for Roma to handle in the first leg. If they can hold their nerve and play to their values in the Italian capital, they will go through.

  7. =5. Real Madrid | 22 points | ⬆️ 9 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Real Madrid 3-1 Paris Saint-Germain

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 11/2

    Defeat to Espanyol last midweek curtailed what had been a pleasing run in which Cristiano Ronaldo returned to spectacular goalscoring form. He scored two in the opening leg against PSG, again making a mockery of those suggesting that his time at the top is finished.

    He added two more in the weekend win against Getafe and is picking up momentum just at the right time. They love the Champions League though and have the decisive edge heading to Paris.

  8. =5. Porto | 22 points | ⬇️ 1 place

    UCL last 16 first leg results: Porto 0-5 Liverpool

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 3000/1

    The team who showed up for the first leg could have been mistaken for imposters given the disparity between that humiliation and Porto's strong season form to date.

    They had a good win against Sporting in league competition on Friday night and enjoy a five-point cushion at the top of the Portuguese table. Too much damage was done a fortnight ago for them to have any chance of a comeback.

  9. =5. Manchester United | 22 points | ⬆️ 5 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Sevilla 0-0 Manchester United

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 20/1

    It wasn't pretty but it was pretty enough. Manchester United escaped unscathed from a first-leg in Sevilla during which they were put under significant pressure and had their goalkeeper David de Gea to thank for preserving a clean sheet.

    Jose Mourinho will no doubt feel that a big European night under Old Trafford lights will provide the appropriate stage for his club to finish the job. That is unless they concede and have to fight for their lives. Mourinho's methods might not win many admirers but there's no argument with their effectiveness up to now.

  10. =5. Liverpool | 22 points | ⬆️ 3 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Porto 0-5 Liverpool

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 10/1

    Free-scoring Liverpool have bounced back from FA Cup elimination to embark on a strong run of results. During that sequence came the 5-0 demolition of Porto at the Estadio Dragao in which Sadio Mane netted his first Champions League hat-trick.

    Having the result more or less in the bag might well give Jurgen Klopp the opportunity to test out some of his fringe men with a high-profile Premier League game against Manchester United to follow.

  11. =5. Tottenham | 22 points | ⬆️ 3 places

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Juventus 2-2 Tottenham

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 14/1

    One of the great European fight-backs gives Spurs the slight advantage heading to Wembley. This is a team which under Mauricio Pochettino has been threatening to break out and do something significant for a long time now.

    With wins against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund already achieved, the Champions League could be the arena in which they excel. Another epic display will be required.

  12. =5. Barcelona | 22 points | ⬆️ 1 place

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 9/2

    Chelsea were doing a supreme job at keeping the Catalans at bay until one stray pass gave Lionel Messi the chance to snare an away goal at Stamford Bridge.

    With Antonio Conte's side now in need of a goal of their own to progress, the onus will be on the visitors to come out and play. That will leave gaps for a Barca attack always capable of scoring. League form has been somewhat patchy but they remain top of the pile. With Messi anything is possible.

  13. 4. Manchester City | 25 points | ➖

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Basel 0-4 Manchester City

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 3/1

    Pep Guardiola has finally pocketed his first Manchester City trophy after beating Arsenal in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League would also appear to be wrapped up. While he will be disappointed to have tumbled out of the FA Cup to Wigan Athletic, the Champions League would nonetheless provide the biggest part of a glorious second season treble.

    The game is dead and buried against Basel and it gives him a chance to explore options further down his squad as more important European matches lie in store.

  14. 3. Paris Saint-Germain | 27 points | ➖

    UCL last 16 opponent: Real Madrid 3-1 PSG

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 10/1

    There's only one name on the lips of everybody connected to Paris Saint-Germain since his injury against Marseille last week and that is Neymar. The world's most expensive player was signed from Barcelona to be the difference maker on nights like this but instead he's licking his wounds in Brazil.

    PSG will be relying upon all-time record goalscorer Edinson Cavani and new gunslinger Kylian Mbappe to construct a turnaround. That is unlikely, no matter how much money Qatar has thrown at this particular project.

  15. =1. Juventus | 28 points | ➖

    UCL last 16 first leg results: Juventus 2-2 Tottenham

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 25/1

    The draw against Tottenham broke a remarkable sequence of 11 consecutive wins for the Bianconeri who, before the first leg, were Europe's form team.

    Losing a two-goal lead does not appear to have knocked them out of their stride on the domestic front where they continue to rack up the league and cup victories and have gone ahead in the Scudetto race. Juve must come out and play in order to find a crucial away goal and not try to rely on defending in depth like they did in the first game.

  16. =1. Bayern Munich | 28 points | ➖

    UCL last 16 first leg result: Bayern Munich 5-0 Besiktas

    dabblebet odds to win UCL: 9/2

    An early red card for Domagoj Vida left Besiktas with just too much to do in the first game against Bayern and a team as good as this need no second invitation to attack. All however is not rosy in the Bavarian garden.

    Reports of Robert Lewandowski's unrest have caused consternation at Saebener Strasse while the injury sustained by Kingsley Coman will leave Jupp Heynckes without a pacey wing option for weeks to come. That said, Bayern have already built up enough of a lead that it shouldn't prove to be a problem.
