Perez told Ronaldo: Leave for PSG & I'll get Messi!


Real Madrid president Florentino Perez warned Cristiano Ronaldo that he would buy Lionel Messi for €200 million if the forward left to join PSG, according to France Football.

The magazine reports that, in a secret text message sent to a friend back in 2012, Ronaldo reveals that he wants to join the Ligue 1 side and that it would improve his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or.

And when the Portuguese apparently communicates that desire to Perez in a meeting, the Madrid chief tells him that, if he finds a club willing to pay €200m, he'll activate Messi's Barcelona release clause with the cash.  


Man Utd interested in Alderweireld move

Manchester United are interested in striking a deal for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The 28-year-old has just 18 months remaining on his current agreement at Spurs and has a £25 million release clause written into it, with United now monitoring the situation ahead of the summer.

Alderweireld, who has stalled on signing an extension at Tottenham, does have a one-year extension written into his current contract, however, which is scheduled to be triggered in the summer of 2019.


Ederson in line for new Man City deal

Manchester City are ready to reward Ederson with a new contract following his impressive start to his career at the Etihad Stadium, claims The Sun.

Ederson joined City from Benfica last summer on a five-year contract and a salary reportedly worth around £70,000 a week.

The Brazilian has been a key figure in City’s relentless march towards the Premier League title and the club want to offer him a new deal.


Atletico watching Werner

Atletico Madrid are on the trail of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner and could join city rivals Real in a fight for his signature, reports Bild.

Werner was scouted by Atletico during last Friday’s 2-0 home win over Augsburg amid suggestions he is being viewed as a long-term replacement for Antoine Griezmann.

Leipzig have insisted that the Germany international will not leave in the summer, but an impressive World Cup could see clubs lining up to sign him.


Rashford may need to leave Man Utd - Henry

Marcus Rashford should consider leaving Manchester United in order to secure first-team football and continue his development, according to Thierry Henry.

The 20-year-old has made 25 appearances in the Premier League this season, but he has only been included in the starting XI 13 times and not since a 2-2 draw with Burnley on Boxing Day.

Despite his versatility, the January signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal is expected to only diminish Rashford's playing time even further.

Real Madrid & Monaco had secret deal for Mbappe

Real Madrid had a secret deal in place to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco in 2017, according to France Football.

The 19-year-old forward, who would eventually move to PSG, was a top target for Madrid, who had apparently agreed a €180 million deal with Mbappe's former club Monaco.

Despite the Liga club being an attractive proposition for the player, Mbappe, along with his parents, was reportedly never told about the proposed transfer and thus, if only temporarily, decided to stay at Monaco.


Mourinho stay ends Man Utd's Ronaldo hopes

Jose Mourinho's new contract at Manchester United has ended any chance of Cristiano Ronaldo rejoining the Red Devils, according to Le10Sport .

Ronaldo is reportedly unsettled in the Spanish capital and could be set for a summer departure if Real Madrid do not offer him a new contract. 

But Ronaldo will not be making a return to Old Trafford, as he does not want to work under Mourinho again after the two had a falling out at the end of the United manager's time at Real Madrid.  


Arsenal and Liverpool to battle for Meyer

Arsenal and Liverpool face a battle for Schalke midfielder Max Meyer in the summer, according to the Daily Star.

The 22-year-old will soon be out of contract and has reportedly drawn interest from the Premier League, as well as from Bayern Munich and Milan.

Meyer is renowned for his versatility, with the Germany international able to play several positions in midfield and also as a striker.


Dortmund to make Batshuayi bid

Borussia Dortmund will try to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a permanent basis in the summer, reports the Evening Standard

The on-loan striker has impressed in his brief time with the Bundesliga side, scoring three goals in his first two games. 

Dortmund do not have an option to buy as part of their loan agreement with Chelsea but will attempt to negotiate a fee with the Blues.


Mourinho to ditch Smalling and Jones

Jose Mourinho will shake up Manchester United's defence in the summer, with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones set to be sold, according to the Daily Mirror.

Mourinho apparently wasn't convinced by the duo even before Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Newcastle - a match in which Smalling and Jones failed to impress yet again. 


Luis Enrique decides to manage in England

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has decided he will manage in the Premier League next season, according to The Sun.

The Spaniard has been heavily linked with the Chelsea job should Antonio Conte depart Stamford Bridge, but Arsenal are another potential destination, if Arsene Wenger steps down.

Vagnoman, 17, is comfortable playing left-back or right-back, and has also reportedly drawn interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

The defender played in every game for Germany at the U-17 World Cup last summer. 


Donnarumma no longer a priority for Juventus

The Old Lady were thought to be lining up the 19-year-old as Gianluigi Buffon’s successor, but the club is now planning on giving Wojciech Szczesny a chance to prove himself.


PSG planning double swoop in Serie A

Paris Saint-Germain will move for two of Serie A's brightest young stars this summer, according to Le10Sport .

The Ligue 1 leaders are said to have identified Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, 22, and Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini, 21, as two potential future midfield cornerstones. 

PSG will face competition from Juventus, however, who are also interested in both players. 


Everton to give up on Keane

The 25-year-old joined from Burnley last summer for £30 million, but has yet to live up to expectations at Goodison Park. 

Burnley could be interested in a reunion with Keane, but reportedly won't be willing to offer anywhere near what the Toffees paid for the centre-back last summer. 


Deportivo La Coruna forward nears Liverpool move

Liverpool are close to landing Deportivo La Coruna forward Pinchi, reports The Sun.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and Jurgen Klopp supposedly believes Pinchi could provide a low-risk option to improve his side's depth in attack.

Manchester United and Tottenham are also said to be interested in the forward.
