Nepal will no longer play against Malaysia in the international friendly planned for April 1. This is due to the fact that the match is outside of the FIFA international calendar window and that causes Nepal to not be able to selet their best players.
With domestic matches going on in Nepal, clubs were unwilling to release their players for this fixture and the Nepal squad will return home after their Asian Cup qualifer against Yemen.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has moved quickly to find a replacment and the 231-ranked team in the world, Bhutan, will be Malaysia's opponent.
The match will be played at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, the same venue where Malaysia last drew against Mongolia 2-2 last Thurday.
The Malaysia national team have departed to Beirut, Lebanon for the final 2019 Asian Cup qualifier group stage, in a match where both teams have nothing to play for, for very contrasting reasons.
Malaysia are out of the running to reach the finals in United Arab Emirates while Lebanon have already won the group and will be in the pot for the draw for the finals.
