From Catalan Independence to Jimmy Jump, five famous protests
1. Jimmy Jump at the 2010 World Cup final
Spanish prankster Jimmy Jump will go down as one of the most prolific pitch invaders in football history. At Euro 2004, he attempted to throw a Barcelona shirt at Luis Figo in protest of the Portugal captain’s move to Real Madrid, before going on to invade the field during Champions League games in 2006 and 2007. His most famous moment arrived during the 2010 FIFA World Cup final when, sporting shirt with the words "Against Racism", he raced onto the field and attempted to place a Barretina hat onto the trophy itself before being apprehended by security.
