Top 10 club rivalries
9. Persepolis v Esteghlal
This is undoubtedly one of the lesser-known great derbies, but by no means is it less explosive. The Tehran Derby between Iran's two biggest clubs represents the Middle East and Asia's biggest club rivalry. One of the most notable matches between the two was a 6-0 win to Persepolis in 1973, a result that is understandably referred to at every occasion by Reds fans ever since. But perhaps the most unique aspect of the rivalry is the content of insulting chants thrown between both sets of fans. Roughly translated, here are some of the best, and most disturbingly vivid, chants: "I hope you cry for the rest of your life", "My pubic hair in your eye" and "I urinate on your moustache".
