Singapore's road to the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 final
Shahril double has defending champs reeling

Singapore got off to a flying start in the tournament as they thumped fierce rivals Malaysia 3-0 in their own backyard to banish memories of the 4-0 defeat they suffered at the National Stadium back in 2002.
Inspired by captain Shahril Ishak, the Lions never looked like losing against a lacklustre Tigers side after weathering a spell of early pressure.
Left-back Shaiful Esah's searching ball over the top found Shahril bursting through the middle in the 32nd minute, and the attacking midfielder cushioned it with a delightful first touch before toe-poking a clinical finish past goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.
Four minutes later, the Shahril Show continued as Singapore's Captain Fantastic headed home from close range after Khairul Fahmi had flapped at a freekick from Shahdan Sulaiman to give his side a commanding half-time lead.
