The former Chelsea striker found the net via a free-kick for Phoenix Rising, but received a lot of help form Rio Grande Valley goalkeeper Calle Brown

During his time at Chelsea, Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba scored over 100 Premier League goals, but he rarely found the net as easily as he did on Saturday against Rio Grande Valley.

The Phoenix Rising attacker helped his side double their lead in the USL clash, curling in a free-kick that was hilariously bundled into the net by RGV goalkeeper Calle Brown. Drogba wheeled off in celebration of the goal, but it was later credited as an own goal for the goalkeeper.

Drogba moved to Phoenix in April, becoming a co-owner of the club after turning down the chance to sign for Brazilian side Corinthians. Since joining the Firebirds, the 39-year-old has been in splendid form, netting seven times in 11 league games.
