Lloyd, Press and Kerr on the move in blockbuster NWSL trade

Two-time Best FIFA Women's Player winner Carli Lloyd, U.S. national team striker Christen Press and 2017 NWSL MVP Sam Kerr are on the move after a blockbuster trade, the NWSL announced Friday.

Lloyd is heading from the Houston Dash to her home state of New Jersey to join Sky Blue FC in the three-team trade, which saw the Chicago Red Stars acquire Kerr from Sky Blue and Houston add Press from Chicago.

Sky Blue also acquired Canada forward Janine Beckie and midfielder-forward Jen Hoy in the deals, while the Red Stars added midfielder Nikki Stanton.

Lloyd, 35, scored seven goals in 15 games while spending the past two seasons with Houston. She also spent the first half of 2017 on loan to Manchester City.
