Hougang United will be looking to bounce back from their lost to Tampines Rovers over the weekend when they take on sixth place Balestier Khalsa, later tonight at the Hougang Stadium.
This season hasn’t been the most ideal for the Cheetahs as they are rooted to the bottom of the table in ninth place. Caretaker coach Clement Teo will most certainly demand an improvement from his young squad.
In their last five games Hougang only managed one win against Geylang United with the team suffering losses in the rest of their games.
On the other hand Balestier Khalsa who lies in sixth position in the league defeated Young Lions over the weekend by a scoreline of 1-0, scored by striker Keegan Linderboom. That will give them a boost heading into tonight’s game.
The Tigers’ last five games saw them record three draws, one lost and a win in the form of their aforementioned game against Young Lions over the weekend.
In the two clubs’ head to head, Hougang have the upper hand registering two wins compared to Balestier’s single victory, with both of them drawing twice.
