"Pogba is a very good player, but a Manchester United player right now, and we will see in the future if anything happens," the defender stated.

"We would be happy to have him here, but Manchester United is his club and, if someone has to say something, it must be them."

PSG deny interest in Tottenham's Eriksen

Paris Saint-Germain have denied they are considering an approach for Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen. 

The Ligue 1 champions recruited former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel over the summer, but have otherwise had a relatively subdued transfer window. 

“PSG categorically denies the transfer rumors regarding a potential transfer of Christian Eriksen," the club told AP in an statement sent by e-mail.

Neymar has met up with his old Barcelona colleagues, but he has reaffirmed that his future lies with Paris Saint-Germain.

“I have a contract with PSG and I’ll be there,” he told Mundo Deportivo, before considering the prospect of facing his former colleagues later this season in the Champions League. 

“I’ve spoken to almost all the Barca players. We’re very good friends and they’re also very good players. I wouldn’t like it. It would be very difficult.”

Marco Fabian has failed his medical at Fenerbahce, Frankfurter Rundschau has reported.

The Mexico international had been expected to join the Turkish side today, but the deal has fallen through.

A year ago, he was operated on due to a back problem, and it has been suggested that could be the issue, although no confirmation has been given.

Besiktas are also interested in him.

Rudy having Schalke medical

Sebastian Rudy is closing in on a move to Schalke from Bayern Munich, Sky Sport reports.

He will sign a four-year contract with the club and will move for around €16 million (£14.5m/$18.5m) after Schalke negotiated Bayern down from €20m.

Real Betis are hoping to complete a deal for Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko, reports Sky Sports News.

City are willing to offload the Ukrainian before the close of the transfer window on Friday and want a fee in the region of £15 million ($19m) for Zinchenko.

Wolves were unable to push through a deal for Zinchenko earlier in the summer, but the player is now in talks over a permanent switch to Betis.

The Liga club are reportedly keen to bring in the French midfielder to bolster their options in that area of the pitch but PSG are not impressed with their attempts to convince the 23-year-old to move.

Barca, meanwhile, are apparently perplexed at the suggestion, reportedly claiming they informed PSG of their interest through director of football Pep Segura and techincal secretary Eric Abidal.

Henry to Bordeaux in doubt

Thierry Henry’s future as the next Bordeaux coach has been plunged into doubt.

For much of last week, it seemed that Henry was destined to take charge of the Ligue 1 side, but negotiations have become complicated for the Arsenal legend.

Jose Mourinho has been urged to rein in the outbursts at Manchester United and avoid seeking conflict, with Mike Phelan conceding that the Portuguese’s situation is “delicate”.

Following last week's loss to Brighton, the Portuguese's future has come under scrutiny and Sir Alex Ferguson's former assistant does not believe he is helping himself. 

"You don’t have to avoid conflict, but you certainly have to conduct yourself in a way which is befitting of the tradition of where you’re working, and that’s something you can do by keeping your own counsel and getting on with the job," he told Radio 5 Live.

"But he [Mourinho] is a completely different character and he expresses himself in a completely different way."

Courtois not guaranteed to start at Real Madrid - Lopetegui

Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui has said that new signing Thibault Courtois is not guaranteed a starting berth.

The Belgian was forced to look on from the bench on Sunday as Los Blancos beat Girona 4-1, despite signing for £35 million (€37m/$45m) from Chelsea.
