Liberty Professionals appoint Sellas Tetteh as coach

Liberty Professionals have announced the appointment of former deputy Black Stars and Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh to lead the team in the new season.

Liberty’s coaching post was left vacant following the resignation of George Lamptey and his backroom staff.

Tetteh was relieved of his duties with Sierra Leone national team after failing to qualify the outfit to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations holding in Gabon.

He became a household name across the continent when he led Ghana to clinch gold at the 2009 Under-20 World Cup against Brazil.

Liberty finished 13th on the Ghana Premier League log last season, with their frontman Latif Blessing claiming the top scorer gong after netting 17 goals, ahead of Yahaya Mohamed of Aduana Stars and Kwasi Donsu of Medeama (15 each).

The new season will commence early February, according to reports.
