Egypt to play Belgium in June friendly

Egypt will face Belgium in a friendly encounter on June 6 in Belgium.

The Royal Belgian Football Association confirmed the fixture with the seven-time Africa Cup of Nations winners who are returning to the global stage for the first time since 1990 as their penultimate game before heading to Russia.

Hector Cuper’s side who have been paired with Uruguay, Russia and Saudi Arabia in the Group A, are set to have two training camps in March and May before commencing their World Cup campaign on June 15 at the Central Stadium in Yekaterinburg.

The north African country will start their preparation in Switzerland where they will play against Portugal and Greece on March 23 and 27 respectively before taking on the Roberto Martínez’s men in the second phase of their training in Belgium.
