Better than Cristiano Ronaldo's goal?! Gareth Bale worldie sends football world into frenzy

Cristiano Ronaldo. Zinedine Zidane. And now Gareth Bale.

The Wales international has not always had the best of times at Real Madrid, but he delivered one of his most impact performances in their shirt in the Champions League final, scoring one of the best goals the competition has ever seen.

After entering in the 61st minute, Bale wasted no time making his mark. Three minutes after the Welshman came on, Marcelo delivered a ball into the Liverpool area. It may not have looked like the most dangerous of crosses but Bale delivered an incredible bicycle kick that left Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius without a chance to put Real Madrid up once more 2-1.

Given the circumstances, the placement of the cross, and the finish, it has an argument to being one of the best goals the competition had ever seen, rivalling a goal scored by his team-mate Ronaldo earlier in this year's competition and Zidane's strike in 2002.

It would prove to be the winner, though Bale added another one for good measure later in the second half to give Real Madrid their third straight Champions League crown.
