Ferdinand, Aguero to try Singlish, hawker food, Tai Chi

The Premier League duo will be going head-to-head in a friendly challenge in Singapore as they tackle local culture

English Premier League stars Rio Ferdinand and Sergio Aguero will take to learning Singlish, a colloquial form of English spoken in Singapore, when they arrive here next week as part of Samsung and SingTel's Game On! Ultimate Selfie Challenge.

Ferdinand whose future at Manchester United is up in the air with his contract running out in the summer , announced the challenges he will take on in Singapore via his official Twitter account.



Both players will also be practising Tai Chi as well try local hawker food at Maxwell Food Centre.

The events will be held on May 15 and 16 with a Football Carnival planned on the last day.

Fans can also participate in a press conference by tweeting their questions to Ferdinand and Aguero from now until May 15.

Ferdinand thanked the Singapore fans for their 'very very interesting' local challenges in a short video clip where he also issued a friendly challenge to his Manchester City rival Aguero.

"Kun, do you think you're ready for this?" asked the 34-year-old.
