The Liverpool star was deemed fit enough to be part of the Celeste party to Brazil, with Alejandro Silva and Sebastian Eguren cut from the provisional listUruguay coach Oscar Tabarez has named Liverpool star Luis Suarez in his final World Cup squad, along with Edinson Cavani.
Suarez had been touch and go to make the squad for Brazil following surgery towards the end of last month but has been deemed fit enough to be included.
Furthermore, record caps holder Diego Forlan has also been included after a solid start at J. League club Cerezo Osaka.
Alejandro Silva and Sebastian Eguren are the two players to be cut from the provisional 25-man squad.
Uruguay secured friendly wins over Northern Ireland and Slovenia and will kick off their Group D campaign against Costa Rica next weekend.
