Reports from England suggested that Ozil went out clubbing in the wake of Arsenal's 1-0 loss against Manchester United on Sunday before calling in sick but the 25-year-old has stressed that both matters are unrelated.
"We didn't get back until late in the evening after the game in Manchester," the former Real Madrid man explained.
"I went out for dinner after that but that does not have anything to do with me calling in sick.
"I did not have any problems in the game against United and played for the full 90 minutes."
