Egypt’s Defense Ministry has approved for about 30,000 fans to be at the stadium to watch the return leg against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup qualifier.
The Pharaohs will host the Black Stars on November 19 after suffering a 6-1 drubbing at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi this month.
The Egypt FA spokesperson Azmi Megahed said the venue is still the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo, despite Ghana’s fears over security conditions in the north African country.
“The ministry of defense informed us with their approval to allow in 30000 supporters at the Air Defense Stadium,” Megahed told FilGoal.
The Africa heavyweights have played one game in front of home fans in the past two years against Zimbabwe at Alexandria’s Army Stadium which resulted in a 2-1 score in their favour.
