The 32-year-old, who has 112 caps for his country, was substituted after an hour with a suspected hamstring injury in Cameroon's 1-0 victory over Libya on Sunday, a result which sealed their place in the next stage of World Cup 2014 qualifying.

"Samuel Eto'o is a great player and it is better that he should be the one to explain things," Finke told reporters. "He is the only one who can explain why he took the decision.
"Of course, he has given a lot to football in general and for Cameroonian football in particular. I cannot say more than this because he is the only one to explain this."
Eto'o has recently moved to the Premier League after signing for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side in the final week of the summer transfer window.
