The Tampines Rovers striker's excellent goalscoring form in August has seen him soar to the top of the league's goalscoring charts as he continues to defy age and shine
The Tampines Rovers striker failed to score in their first league game against the Courts Young Lions in a 4-2 win, but exploded to life in front of goal subsequently.
A brace against Albirex Niigata, which included a late equaliser in a 3-3 thriller, was followed by a stunning hat-trick against Brunei DPMM in a 6-2 mauling. Duric then netted again in their final game of the month, opening the scoring at Woodlands Wellington as the Stags were involved in yet another 3-3 epic.
Those goals have seen him soar to the top of the goalscoring charts with 12 strikes, ahead of Tanjong Pagar United hotshot Monsef Zerka, as he continues to prove that old is gold at 43 years of age.
The evergreen Duric's guile and clever play is a delight to watch during every game and all football supporters must be glad that he decided to carry on playing at the start of this campaign.
Still one of the fittest players in the league, the former Singapore international is a role model to every other player with his professionalism and dedication.
As for the rest of us fans, we are privileged to still be able to watch Duric in action.
