Salim Moin resigns from Tampines

The former Singapore international took over at the start of the season but has stepped down after poor results after nine league games and a poor AFC Cup campaign

Tampines Rovers has announced that Salim Moin has resigned from the club after four months into the job, breaking the news on its Facebook page on Sunday night.

Salim took up the role at the defending S.League champions in December last year and came under pressure when the club experienced a poor run of results recently.

The Stags lie third in the table after nine league games and crashed out of the AFC Cup last Tuesday after a home loss to unheralded Nay Pyi Taw FC, despite only needing one point to progress to the next round against the Myanmar club.

Assistant coach Rafi Ali is set to take over on a temporary basis until a new appointment is made.
