 WARRIORS FC 1-0 WOODLANDS WELLINGTON
(Miroslav Pejic pen. 34')

A controversial spot-kick just after the half-hour mark gave the hosts a slim victory, as Croatian Pejic slotted in his sixth goal of the season after the referee adjudged left-back Andy Ahmad to have handled the ball. Rams goalkeeper Yazid Yasin kept his side in the game with a couple of blinding saves, but his team-mates could not find an equaliser as they went down to their first defeat of the campaign.

HARIMAU MUDA B 0-3 GEYLANG INTERNATIONAL
(Leonel Felice 21', Ridhuan Muhammad 39', Aliff Shafaein 86')

The Eagles condemned the Young Tigers to their sixth consecutive loss as they continued their unbeaten streak under new coach Jorg Steinebrunner. Captain Ridhuan was the star of the show, laying a goal each for Felice and Aliff as he sped down the right to put in the crosses and he capped it with a spectacular overhead volley in between.

ALBIREX NIIGATA 2-1 TANJONG PAGAR UNITED
(Shuhei Hotta 77', Kazuki Sakamoto 83' | Soichiro Tanaka O.G. 59')

The Jaguars went down to their fourth loss in six matches as they were undone by a fightback from the White Swans in a largely tepid game that only came to life when the deadlock was broken. That occured courtesy of centre-back Tanaka, who diverted Masrezwan Masturi's low cross past his own goalkeeper with his head. But it served to spark a comeback from the Japanese side, as Hotta headed in a Kazuya Okazaki corner before substitute Sakamoto sealed victory with a superb 25-yard half-volley.

HOUGANG UNITED 4-2 TAMPINES ROVERS
(Geison Moura 8', 11', Diego Gama 12', 74' | Aleksandar Duric 60', Shahdan Sulaiman 81')

The Stags saw their five-game winning streak come to a shuddering halt as the Cheetahs put in a stunning display to upset the defending champions. The hosts flew off the traps and Moura struck twice within the span of four minutes to give them a 2-0 lead, before Gama extended it 60 seconds later. Duric reduced the deficit with a header on the hour mark, but Gama restored the three-goal cushion with a brilliant 40-yard solo run and goal. Shahdan curled in a low free-kick to reduce arrears but there was no spectacular comeback this week, as Amin Nasir's merry men held in for a superb win.

HOME UNITED 2-1 BALESTIER KHALSA
(Bruno Castanheira pen. 34', Qiu Li 44' | Goran Ljubojevic 87')

The Protectors got their title bid back on track by seeing off their rivals at Bishan Stadium, with Castanheira netting for a second successive league game. The Brazilian-Japanese winger won a penalty after his stepovers fooled his marker and converted from the spot, before setting up Qiu for a neat finish just before the break. The Tigers rallied and Ljubojevic saw an effort cleared off the line brilliantly by Kwon Da-kyung, before heading in Syed Thaha's cross for a consolation late on.

BRUNEI DPMM 6-1 COURTS YOUNG LIONS
(Roy O'Donovan 32', 87', Rodrigo Tosi 40', 62', Roberto Alviz 57', Azwan Ali 90' | Sherif El-Masri 23')

Having dropped points in their last two games, Steve Kean's men took out their frustrations on the hapless Young Lions as they racked up a big victory on home soil. The Hassanal Bolkiah was briefly stunned when El-Masri fired in a deflected opener after a one-two with Amy Recha, but that was as good as it got for Aide Iskandar's boys. O'Donovan levelled near the half hour and Tosi put them ahead before half-time, with both completing braces after the break. Alviz and Azwan added gloss to a comprehensive rout as the visitors were left searching for their first victory this season
