Home United enjoyed a victorious start to their pre-season tour of China as they beat Beijing Guoan's reserve side 1-0 on Friday.

Defender Sirina Camara provided the assist for a late goal in the 87th minute from Ahmed Fahmie to help Lee Lim Saeng's men to clinch the win on their third day in Kunming.

The Protectors fielded new signings Song In-young, Izzdin Shafiq, Yasir Hanapi, Qiu Li and Bruno Castanheira in the starting line-up for their first game on tour, having departed Singapore on Tuesday.

The 2013 Singapore Cup winners, who have also signed striker Fazrul Nawaz, had previously drawn 2-2 with Johor Darul Takzim and lost 2-1 to ATM FA in recent friendlies.

They will take on Tampines Rovers in the season-opening Community Shield on February 21, which will double up as the first S.League game of the 2014 season.
