Balestier Khalsa return to the scene of their Singapore Cup elimination on Friday's live television broadcast game of Round 25 when they take on Home United at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
The Protectors were the opposition when the Tigers lost 1-0 in the second leg of the semi-finals, having already gone down to a defeat by the same scoreline in the first. That marked the end of the League Cup winners' Cup run and the chance of a Cup double.
Balestier coach Darren Stewart has already indicated that he is very much looking forward to this meeting with Lee Lim Saeng's charges again, which should mean that his troops will be fired up for it.
They enter this on the back of a superb 2-1 win over Albirex Niigata on Sunday, where they beat the Japanese side at their own game of football on the ground.
The superb Park Kang Jin notched a lovely second goal for Balestier and will be the man they turn to for a big performance once again. The Korean playmaker has been in fine form and will surely want to make up for a rather anonymous showing in the two legs.
But in Lee Kwan Woo, Home have their own Korean ace. The 35-year-old has been a class above most in his debut season and the former Korean international was at it again in his team's last match against league champions Tampines Rovers. Coming on at half-time, Lee struck a rocket of a free-kick from 35 yards right into the top corner to stun the crowd, before rounding off the 2-0 win with a coolly dispatched penalty late on.
Firdaus Idros and Jordan Webb have also been in good form down the wings and could hurt Balestier there, as Home seek a win to take them back to second place after Albirex overtook them with their 3-1 win over Woodlands on Wednesday night.
Home are only one point behind the White Swans, while Balestier are themselves five points behind the Protectors as they chase a top-three finish with three more games to go. Expect a fiery clash here.
