Ninety-two per cent of Goal readers polled feel that FC Ryukyu’s Wan Zack Haikal should stay away from the M-League – for now at least
A massive 92 per cent of Goal readers say that Wan Zack Haikal should not return to the M-League.
The 22-year-old is currently contracted to third division Japanese side, FC Ryukyu.
The past two weeks has seen several rumours pop up, suggesting that a Wan Zack may return to Malaysian football after there was confirmation of local clubs contacting the young player.
However, Executive Vice President of FC Ryukyu, Sotaro Shinoda, told Goal exclusively that Wan Zack would remain with the Japanese club, at least until his two-year contract runs out.
He added that he was not able to ascertain which clubs from Malaysia were interested in contracting the services of Wan Zack while suggesting that it might have been a broker that established contact with him.
On the flipside, 29 out of the 414 readers polled (seven per cent) think that the ex-Felda United player should in fact come back to the M-League – maybe because he had only be featured once for FC Ryukyu and is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury.
