Thailand star Teerasil Dangda inspired by Radamel Falcao

The Muangthong United striker, who spent two weeks training with La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, hopes to emulate the achievements of the Colombian hitman in Europe.
Thailand striker Teerasil Dangda has pinpointed Atletico Madrid hitman Radamel Falcao as his idol, following a two-week training stint at the La Liga outfit.

"As a striker, obviously it is Falcao!" he told Reuters, when asked who his favorite Los Rojiblancos player was.

"It's an opportunity that is not available to many players from Thailand to train with him, so I want to thank my club and Atletico for the chance to be here."

The 24-year-old Muangthong United star hopes to play in Europe in the future and emulate the achievements of the Colombian striker, who has become one of the most lethal forwards in the world after his move from Porto in 2011.

"During my time in Spain, I want to learn as much as possible to be able to improve my abilities for the future. I am going to try to play in Europe and will take the opportunity if I get it," Teerasil declared.

Teerasil, who has 28 goals in 54 appearances for the War Elephants, will return to Muangthong after his Atletico trial as they start preparations for the 2013 Thai Premier League season, which begins in February.
