The Serbian was cautious but believed that his side has what it takes to see off the Philippines in the Suzuki Cup semi-final and make it to the third final in his tenure

Despite not enjoying much success against the Philippines in recent times, losing twice in a friendly this year and only managing a goalless draw against them in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup semifinal, Singapore coach Radojko ‘Raddy’ Avramovich believes that the players has what it takes to keep their title dreams alive.
“I was very happy with the performance and attitude of the players from the first game but the job is not done yet," said Raddy at the pre-match press conference.
“There is another 90 minutes and I will be happy if they show the same spirit just like they did in the Philippines and hope to go to the final.”
Raddy knows that football is unpredictable and results might not necessarily go the Lions' way but still maintained his belief in his charges.
“In football you can’t guarantee anything," he warned.
"We must do our part, we have the quality and experience to go to the final and it is in some way our target.”
While his attacking trio of captain Shahril Ishak, Khairul Amri and Aleksandar Duric were firing blanks in the previous game, Raddy will still keep faith in them and said that he won’t be tinkering with his line up: “I am very happy with them and I don’t think there will be any changes. They will show great character and score goal, it’s always [that] moment in the game.”
Raddy was a man of few words during the press conference and when asked about the possible danger-man for the Azkals, the longest-serving Singapore coach tersely added: “I do not always focus on the opponent but rather I try to focus on our team.”
The second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup semifinal between Singapore and the Philippines will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium at 8pm.
Tickets for the match are sold out and those who were unable to get their hands on the tickets will be able to watch the game ‘Live’ on Mediacorp Channel 5.
