Raddy Avramovich felt the defense played really well and that gave them an advantage psychologically.
Rajagopal stated: "I didn't expect the scoreline to be 3-0 and yes it's very disappointing because all three goals were down to individual mistakes, we should not have conceded these goals. We started well but gave away a sloppy goal."
However despite the result, Rajagopal was satisfied with the desire him team displayed. "We played with desire today compared to the friendly matches. A fair result would have been a draw, I don't think we deserved to lose today."
When asked about some of the changes he may make to the team for the upcoming match against Laos, the manager said "We'll make the necessary changes. I know which players I want to drop as we have options."
Despite the latest poor performance, Rajagopal still has belief that his team can go far in the competition. "You must be thinking I'm mad but we'll make it definitely. I said this in Indonesia and will say it again now - I hope we meet Singapore in the final."
Singapore boss Raddy Avramovic was delighted at the three goals his team scored, but also at the clean sheet that they registered. "I'd have been very happy with 1-0 but every opportunity we had we were looking for goals. The defense played really well so that gave us an advantage phsycologically."
The Serbian boss played down suggestions that the majoirty of his team playing in the Malaysian Super League (MSL) gave his team an advantage. "I don't think so our players playing in the MSL gave us an advantage because these games are much much higher in quality."
However the coach is not getting too carried away and is eager to focus on the next match. "What we need to do now is recover because Malaysia pushed us really hard. Indonesia will be hard because a team that goes down twice and comes back won't be easy to play."
