The Lions who will be hoping to claim a record fourth title in Malaysia have the backing of several Members of Parliament

They may be in different camps of the political divide but they are united when it comes to lending their support to our national footballers.
Speaking exclusively to Goal.com Singapore, a Cabinet Minister and a Member of Parliament [MP] spoke in one voice and sent their well-wishes to the Singapore Lions for the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup.
Acting Minister for Social and Family Development & Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence Chan Chun Sing said: “Wishing our Lions all the best as always. We will always be behind them all the way. Play our game and let the results take care of themselves.”
Also lending his support to the three times Asean champions is Aljunied Group Representation Constituency [GRC] MP, Pritam Singh.
"May the Lions bring back the Cup!" said Pritam.
"We are all behind them, always have been, always will. Do you very best Lions!"
Echoing Pritam’s believes that the Lions have what it takes to lift the cup for the fourth time is Choa Chu Kang GRC MP, Alex Yam Ziming.
An ardent fan of the Lions who always keeps himself up to date with their progress, Yam said: "After Monday's friendly against Pakistan, I am encouraged that the Lions will be heading to Kuala Lumpur fully charged up.”
“Group B is a tough grouping but I wish the boys a fantastic run and look forward to seeing them lift the Suzuki Cup."
Singapore open their AFF Cup schedule against Malaysia on November 25 before taking on Indonesia three days later. Their final group game will be on December 1 against Laos.
