Ajax coach Frank de Boer has admitted that he is deciding whether or not to promote four young players to the club's first-team.
Lesley de Sa, Mitchell Dijks, Sven Nieuwport and Viktor Fischer have all been training with the Dutch giants’ senior players in a bid to win a professional contract with the Eredivisie champions.
The famous Ajax youth academy has been the breeding ground of some of Europe’s most recognisable players in recent times, and De Boer has confessed that he will now have to run the rule over the quartet.
"Tonight we will sit with the staff and medical staff together," he admitted to reporters.
"Then we will look carefully at the rest of our program. It may just be that the boys stay with us."
Previous graduates of the Ajax academy include Johan Cruyff, Dennis Bergkamp and Marco van Basten.
