The Uruguay marksman is eager to surpass the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Radamel Falcao in the scoring charts, but stresses that winning the title takes priorityParis Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani has admitted that he would love to mark his debut season in Ligue 1 by beating Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Radamel Falcao to the golden boot award.
The former Napoli hitman, who is currently on international duty with Uruguay, sealed a €63 million [£55m] to the French capital from the Partenopei in July and has already managed two goals in his first four apperances for the defending champions.
The 26-year-old confesses he would love to finish the 2013-14 campaign with the highest tally in the division, but insists defending the Ligue 1 crown will always take priority over his personal goals.
"The priority is to win Ligue 1," he told reporters. "But I would also of course like to be top scorer in France and will do my best to achieve that.
"As I have always said though, my main goal in football is to help the team win."
Cavani's strike partner Ibrahimovic picked up the individual honour last term after his 30 goals for les Parisiens helped the club to their first league title since 1994.
Monaco's Emmanuel Riviere is currently leading the way to the golden boot, with five goals to his name so far this season.
