thumbnail Hello,

As expected, the former England captain has been left out of the French Champions’ squad for the final Ligue 1 game of the season, bringing his illustrious career to an end

David Beckham has played his last game of competitive football after being left out of the PSG squad for their final game of the season.

After a tearful farewell against Brest at the Parc des Princes last weekend, it was predicted that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder had played his last game as a professional.

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti suggested after the win last weekend that he would be left out of the trip to Lorient which has now been confirmed by the French club.

The 38-year-old announced that he would be retiring at the end of the season earlier in the campaign and has capped off his career in style after winning the Ligue 1 title to add to his winner’s medals from the Premier League, La Liga and the MLS.

Altogether during his glittering career, Beckham won 19 major trophies, 14 of them coming during his time at Manchester United which made him a global superstar.

Another two trophies came from his spell in Spain with Real Madrid, and he won two more during his stint at LA Galaxy. Now the former England captain finishes his career with his final trophy after helping PSG claim their first Ligue 1 title since 1994.
