The club's sporting director has been in his current role since his retirement in 1998 and the club are looking to keep him for even longerBorussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is set to be handed a new contract, CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has confirmed.
The 51-year-old spent his entire playing career at the Westfalenstadion and took his current role after retiring from the game in 1998.
His current deal expires in the summer of 2016, but Watzke is hoping Zorc will commit his long-term future to the club.
"We already have had a chat about it," he told Kicker. "We'll have another one in the next 14 days."
Zorc, who won the Champions League and two Bundesligas as a player at BVB, has overseen Bundesliga title wins in 2002, 2011 and 2012.
