We were perfect today, says Klopp after 5-0 mauling of Gladbach

The 45-year-old had nothing but high praise for his team after BVB dismantled the Fohlen in the Borussen derby on Saturday night with Germany international Marco Reus on song
Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has stated that his team more than made up for their slip-up against Eintracht Frankfurt by delivering a 'perfect' performance in a 5-0 trashing of Borussia Monchengladbach.

New signing Marco Reus was in scintillating form, scoring two goals and adding an assist against his former club as the defending Bundesliga champions aim to catch up with Bayern Munich at the top of the table.

"The lads have done well, in what has been a beautiful evening of football," enthused Klopp to the club's official website. "There is nothing to complain about today."

"We more than made up for fumbling our two-goal lead [against Eintracht Frankfurt] tonight. We had a really good second half, against a top opponent. We scored some really great goals.

"Today, we either were more clinical in finishing off moves, or simply had better luck than we did the last time out. We played really good football, and had a lot of fun. Everything was perfect today."

Klopp will now be hoping to carry their domestic momentum into the Champions League clash against Premier League champions Manchester City on Wednesday.
