Ahead of the German northern derby, the Hungarian revealed his side will have to be alive to more than only the Dutchman's ability in a resurgent Rothosen team
The Hungarian has enjoyed his own success so far racking up four goals and seven assists firing his side into fourth in the table.
But Huszti revealed that despite Van der Vaart making an immediate impact since returning to Hamburg - leading his side to a 3-2 win over Dortmund - they will have to be alert to not just the threat possessed by the Dutchman.
He said to Bild: "Van der Vaart is a super player. He played for Real [Madrid] and Tottenham, has 100 caps for Holland - that says it all.
"[However,] HSV is not only Van der Vaart. A player can do a lot, but not everything."
Meanwhile, Van der Vaart made no secret of what he thought of the Huszti's start to the Bundesliga campaign.
"He's a very fine player," the Dutchman said.
"I noticed him earlier in the league. He can decide the game with a single pass. I look forward to meeting him on the pitch."
Kick off for Saturday's clash is scheduled for 14:30 CET.
