Badstuber: Chelsea won't be as defensive as against Barcelona in Champions League final

The Germany international believes that the Blues won't solely focus on defending in the upcoming showpiece against the Bundesliga giants
Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber expects Chelsea to play less defensive in the final of the Champions League than they did in their semi-final tie against Barcelona.

The Premier League representatives have received their fair share of criticism for their negative approach against the Catalans, and Badstuber does not think they will employ a similar tactic versus Bayern.

"I'm sure Chelsea will want to keep it tight at the back because we have a fantastic forward line, but they'll also want to go on the attack themselves," Badstuber was quoted as saying on the official Bayern website.

"I don't think they'll be as defensive as against Barcelona. I think they'll contribute to a game of football and try to take the initiative.

"I think it'll be a much more open match, although Chelsea are obviously strongest in defence."

The Champions League final takes place at the Allianz Arena on May 19.
