The Colombiam starlet leads the World Cup goalscoring charts with six strikes, but an attacking quartet is close behind him with their sides still in the tournament
The 22-year-old fired in six goals in five games and is currently top of the goalscoring charts in Brazil, with a majority 42% of Goal Singapore readers tipping him to stay there.
However, Thomas Muller is close behind with five goals after netting the opener in Germany's astonishing 7-1 rout of Brazil on Wednesday morning. The Bayern Munich star is the third-most popular choice at 19.1% and he will fancy his chances of retaining his trophy by scoring in the final. Team-mate Andre Schurrle has emerged as a dark horse as well, his brace against Brazil bringing his tally to three.
Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who has four goals, was the second-favourite pick with 27.4%, while Dutch pair Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie -both three goals each - garnered 4.5% and 7% respectively. Both sides will clash on Thursday morning in the other semi-final and either of the trio will be keen to register goals and fire their teams through.
With assists also counting in the event of two or more players being level on goals, Muller currently leads the way with three, one ahead of Rodriguez. Messi and Robben have one each, while Van Persie has none, which leaves Muller with a distinct advantage.
Goal Singapore also did a feature on the four-way battle between the quartet mentioned for the Golden Boot, which can be found here.
