Luiz Felipe Scolari's 23-man squad has already been named but his back-up selection includes Rafinha, Lucas Moura and Atletico Madrid duo Miranda and Filipe LuisBrazil have named their list of seven players who will be on standby for this summer's home World Cup, with Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva among the back-up options.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has already named his preferred 23-man selection for the tournament, but has now confirmed the list of those who will be held in reserve should any late changes to the squad be required.
Atletico Madrid defenders Filipe Luis and Miranda are in the seven-man list of back-ups, as is Bayern Munich right-back Rafinha.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura and Sao Paulo striker Alan Kardec have also been asked to be ready if called upon.
Fluminense goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri rounds off the list and will step in for the tournament if there are any issues with the current three shot stoppers Julio Cesar, Jefferson and Victor.
The announcement means some of the notable absentees from the original squad, including Kaka, Robinho, Ronaldinho and Philippe Coutinho have not even made Scolari’s top 30 for this summer.
Brazil have warm-up matches against Panama and Serbia before they begin their World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 12.
