Manager Roy Hodgson had initially hoped Lampard would recover in time to feature in Warsaw after missing the 5-0 win over San Marino.
Bertrand, meanwhile, caused controversy last week with his rebuttal on Twitter to the accusations that he had left the England camp due to a sore throat.

"Do you think a "sorethroat" could stop me being apart of a match for my club or country #yourf***ingnuts this is what every boy dreams of."
The Stamford Bridge duo will now prepare for Chelsea's match against Tottenham on Saturday.
