West Brom have played down speculation of a bust-up between the squad following Saturday's 3-3 draw with Cardiff City.
According to reports, members of the playing staff were angered by youngster Saido Berahino giving away possession just after the Baggies scored what looked like a last-minute winner to allow the Welsh outfit to equalise in the fifth minute of injury time.
Berahino is believed to have suffered minor injuries following the fracas, but West Brom insist reports have been "sensationalised" and the incident is proof of the players' passion.
An official club statement read: "Tensions were understandably running high in the dressing room after Cardiff’s late equaliser but the incident has been sensationalised in the media.
"What happened is not uncommon in a dressing room and shows that the players care. The players involved have apologised.
"The Club has drawn a line under the matter and is now fully focussing on Saturday’s important game at Norwich."
