The German rued second-half mistakes and a lack of conviction but opposite number Pepe Mel feels that, despite missed chances, it could be an important point for West BromFulham manager Felix Magath believes his side did not have enough confidence to hold onto their lead against West Brom but has targeted victory over Chelsea next weekend.
The 60-year-old saw his side take a first-half lead through Ashkan Dejagah after a strong period of dominance, only to later concede a last-minute goal that had to be determined by goal-line technology.

"I was very satisfied with the first half and in the second half I think we had too many mistakes and have to go home with just the one point," admitted Magath in his press conference.
"We, as a team, were very close together and we fight very well. We look like a team but now there is not enough confidence to win the game over 90 minutes.
"I was sure [we will survive relegation] before the game and I’m sure after the game. We were close to the win and the next game we will win."
Magath was also quick to defend his goalkeeper. Maarten Stekelenburg pulled off a number of fine saves but turned from hero to villain four minutes from time as he allowed substitute Matej Vydra's tame effort to sneak under his body and over the line.
"He was (playing) very well and it was a shot from only a few metres," Magath said.
"Such things can happen, I don't see the keeper in this situation as making a fault. I don't blame him."It was nearly another missed chance for West Brom manager Pepe Mel, meanwhile, who is yet to pick up his first win as Baggies boss.
"Before the match the only thing in my head is a possible three points," he said. "We should have more points but the first half on the pitch my team is too open and that’s a problem.
"At half-time, I spoke to the players and changed the system to 4-4-3 and that was better for us. One point is one point. It’s an important point but West Brom had a lot of chances to win this game.
"In my work, I need to win but the most important thing for me is my players. They had good mentality in the second half and there were a lot of chances to win."
